Choose Your Presentation: Two Ways to Collect

We now offer two distinct ways to own our work, ensuring there is a perfect fit for both high-end residential investments and modern decorative spaces.

1. The Legacy Limited Edition Collection (Signed and Numbered)

Available on Acrylic Face Mounts, Metal, Canvas, and Fine Art Paper in sizes up to 94x50" (depending on selected print material)

  • Exclusivity: Each piece is signed and numbered in strictly limited runs of 50 editions (Elizabeth Carmel) or 200 editions (Olof Carmel)

  • Premium Sizing: The Limited Edition Collection is the exclusive home of our large-scale statement pieces. While our open editions are curated for smaller spaces, Limited Edition works are available in grand proportions—from 60 to 90 inches and beyond—specifically designed to serve as the central architectural anchor of a great room or primary suite.

Exquisite Presentation: To match this grand scale, we offer our most diverse range of archival presentations, including museum-quality acrylic face mounts, metal, canvas, and fine art paper. Prints are available in our professional 1.2 inch aluminum floater frames (black or silver) as well as our hand-crafted wood floater frames in walnut, maple, black, or brown. Paper prints are available matted with black or brown wooden frames.

2. The Open Edition Collection (Durable & Accessible)

Available exclusively on Laminated Aluminum Dibond.

  • The Material: A high-depth photographic print laminated onto a slim, durable aluminum composite panel.

  • Framing: Available with our Wooden Floater Frames in Black or Brown.

  • The Use Case: For acquiring popular images that have already sold out of their Limited Edition runs or that are priced at higher tiers. Their laminated surface and rigid aluminum core make them exceptionally durable and resistant to humidity—ideal for the active Tahoe homes or sleek contemporary interiors. Sizes are available up to 48x48".

How to Size Wall Art for Your Home

Choosing the right size artwork is just as important as choosing the right image. The scale of a piece dramatically affects how a room feels — balanced and elevated, or small and unfinished. In Tahoe and Bay Area homes, especially those with vaulted ceilings and expansive walls, art should feel intentional and confidently scaled.

Start with the Wall, Not the Image

Measure the width of the wall or the furniture the artwork will hang above (sofa, bed, console, fireplace mantle). As a general rule, artwork should be approximately 60–75% of the width of the furniture below it.

For example:
• 90" sofa → artwork around 54–67" wide
• 72" console → artwork around 43–54" wide

If you’re working with a large stone fireplace wall or vaulted great room, don’t be afraid to go bold. Tahoe homes can easily support 60", 70", or even 90" wide or tall panoramic pieces based on their orientation.

Over a Sofa or Bed
40"–60" wide is ideal for most homes. Larger great rooms can handle 60"–75" wide statement pieces.

Above a Fireplace
Choose artwork that is strong enough to balance the visual weight of stone or wood. Panoramas in the 60"–90" range are especially striking in Tahoe mountain homes.

Entryways and Hallways
24"–40" wide works beautifully in narrower spaces.

Dining Rooms
Horizontal pieces 40"–60" wide create warmth and presence without overwhelming the room.

Consider Ceiling Height

Homes in Martis Camp, Lahontan, and custom Tahoe builds often have higher ceilings. In these spaces, larger artwork prevents the wall from feeling empty. A properly scaled piece will anchor the room and complement the architecture.

Framing & Visual Impact

Floater frames in black or brown add structure and definition, especially on large pieces. Black frames tend to create a modern, crisp edge, while brown or walnut tones add warmth and work beautifully in rustic or transitional mountain interiors.

When in doubt, bigger is usually better — especially in open-concept Tahoe great rooms.

We’re Happy to Help!

If you’d like personalized guidance, send us:
• A photo of your wall
• The wall width and height
• The width of the furniture below it (if applicable)
• Your preferred style (modern, rustic, minimalist, dramatic)

We’ll suggest ideal sizes and a few image options that will feel perfectly scaled for your home.

Designing the right piece isn’t just about filling space — it’s about creating presence, balance, and a sense of calm every time you walk into the room.
